The Raritan Valley Community College Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies will present a virtual Summer Book Series beginning June 18. Held via Zoom webinars, the programs are free of charge and open to the public. The series, which features discussions of award-winning novels that explore the past, includes Friday, August 20, 10-11 a.m.The Vanishing Half​ ​Brit Bennett’s novel considers the lasting influence of the past as it shapes a person’s decisions, desires, and expectations. The book also explores why people sometimes feel pulled to live as something other than their origins.
