“The Gift of Friendship” will be presented by Rabbi Debra Smith on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Temple Sholom, 594 North Bridge Street, Bridgewater, NJ. The program is $5 and refreshments will be served.

 

Jewish tradition tells us to "Acquire for yourself a friend" (Pirke Avot). Where would we be without our friends? We will explore what Jewish tradition tells us about the importance of friendship and having friends. We will discuss qualities we look for in a friend, what qualities we bring to a friendship and how to deal with friendships that are in danger of dissolving or have ended.
